TRAINEE HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT (THCA)
There is now availability for an upcoming Trainee Healthcare Assistant (THCA) employability programme at UHB, in partnership with Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC). This will be a one - week course, with an interview for the Trainee HCA role at the end of training (Subject to satisfactory completion.)
14/07/2023 - Information session / Liter acy & numeracy assessment 24/07/2023 – 5 - day programme begins. If successful at interview at the end of the short programme at UHB, candidates
will then move onto a Band 2 twelve week, fully paid Trainee HCA programme
with BCHC.
The aim is that they w ill ultimately move into a full HCA job role within BCHC.
(Subject to satisfactory completion of training) Eligibility: • Unemployed
• Age 18 plus
• Living in Birmingham or Solihull
• Not in Further of Higher Education
• Level 1 in Literacy & Numeracy (assessment t o be completed at the
